The Challenge
Sunshine Polishing Technology, a leader in ski gondola restoration, restores and refurbishes gondolas for ski resorts around the world. Their subsidiary, The Gondola Shop, specializes in giving vintage gondolas new life; whether as resort décor, restaurant features, or event attractions.
For one of their projects, The Gondola Shop needed a custom cover to protect a restored gondola that would be stored outdoors, transported to the customer, and displayed on-site. The cover needed to shield the gondola from harsh weather, UV rays, and potential scratches during handling.
The customer also required the cover to be form-fitting to the gondola’s unique shape, space-efficient for transport, and designed to avoid any abrasion to the gondola’s freshly restored paintwork.

This solution provided The Gondola Shop with a cover that is gentle yet rugged, ideal for high-altitude outdoor use and secure transport.
